Common questions
Can I still get home energy rebates after federal tax credits ended?
Yes in many cases. Federal 25C/25D tax credits generally ended for equipment placed in service after December 31, 2025, but state HEAR/HOMES programs and utility rebates may still apply where launched.
How is WattRebate different from a contractor quote?
WattRebate is a neutral pre-purchase reference with official links, launch phase labels, and modeled federal caps. It does not sell equipment, route installer leads, or guarantee approval.
Why does launch phase matter?
HEAR rebates only pay when your state program is live and you meet income, equipment, and contractor rules. Preparing or waitlist states require checking official portals—not assuming rebates on a quote.
